Corresponding Secretary: A plant was sent to Barbara Connolly on her husband’s death. A sympathy card was sent to Aileen Leonard’s husband. Flowers were sent to Nancy Lovering on her husband’s death. A thank you note was sent to Chatham Garden Club for the invitation to their meeting. Thinking of you cards were sent to Rita Hauck and Donna Cox. We received a thank you note from the Family Pantry and from Barbara Connolly.

Program: Jeanne Tassinari reported that the March 4 Program will feature flower arranger Patrice Milley. The April program will be Art in Bloom where members will do an interpretative floral arrangement to correspond with a work of art (quilt, sculpture, etc.). May 7 is the Fashion Show by Mulberry Corners; the tickets are $30 and the money will be collected by Carol Hanlon. Guests are welcome.

Bus Trip: The Bus Trip on June 4 will be to the Rotch-Jones Duff House & Garden Museum in New Bedford, MA, with a stop at the Allen Haskell Nursery. Lunch will be on the grounds and is limited to 55 people.

Civic Beautification: Irene Mitchell told us of two new sites to be developed in April: the entrance to Cranberry Valley Golf Course and the overlook at Wychmere Harbor. Three to four members are needed to care for each place. Also, let Irene know if the Civic Garden you care for needs a sign.

Blooming Barrels: JoAnn Root appealed for members to volunteer to take charge of a barrel in the community: plant it in May, water it throughout the summer, perhaps twice a week, then remove the plants in late fall to keep the area looking good.

Plant Sale: Gerri Schurmann will have sign ups for Plant Sale Committees in April. She encouraged members to divide perennials and plant seeds of unique plants for our sale. Jo Molnar will announce the raffle items in March.

Newsletter: See Margaret if you have information for the newsletter which will be distributed at the March meeting.

New Business: Mimi Foster is in charge of the Bridge Luncheon in the fall and needs someone to supervise the kitchen.

The meeting was adjourned at 1:25 p. m.

Respectfully submitted,

Alayne Tisgas, Recording Secretary
