Jeanne Tassinari called the meeting to order at 1:00 PM.
Secretary’s
Report of the April 6 meeting had been emailed to members.
There were no corrections so the report was accepted for
file.
Treasurer’s
Report for April 30 had been emailed to members.
It was accepted and filed (copy attached).
Corresponding
Secretary Carrie
Wailgum reported that get well cards were sent to Eileen Ford
for eye surgery and Sally Kimball who is at Liberty Commons.
A sympathy card was sent to Betty Norgeot on the loss of
her daughter Betty Alliaume (former member).
Sympathy cards and plants were sent to the family of
Deborah Skinner and to Mary McKevitt on the loss of her husband,
Larry.
Program
Chair
Lynne Drummond said that the June speaker is Doris Casey on
Creative Window Boxes.
Horticulture
Chair
Pat Tworek was not present but Jeanne reminded us of the
Eldredge Farm visit on May 25.
Civic
Beautification co-chair Irene Mitchell said that 17 members
planted perennial plants and shrubs at the driving entrance to
Brooks Library on Monday. Next
Monday they will plant annuals and mulch.
Friends of the Library made a $1000 donation for this
effort. Also
Amy Natiello will be calling all new members to recruit workers
for the summer.
Sharon
Oudemool is selling tickets for Open Garden Days for $10.
Ways
and Means
co-chair Linda Felice had aprons available as well as gloves and
trakes.
Design
Workshop
for May 6 on Hanging Baskets by Doris Casey is filled.
Conservation
– Sue
Mills and Gerry Schumann are collecting $4 from those attending
the Wellfleet Wildlife Walk.
Plant
Sale
co-chair Audrey Osbourne still needs help with breakdown and
clean up after the sale. An
email will go out with a complete recap of assignments and where
to deliver items. Lee
Tanner is selling raffle tickets.
Sign up sheets were circulated for jobs remaining to be
filled.
Membership
Chair
Sue Hart asked everyone to fill out the new membership form and
return it with their dues. This
will be used to insure that information included in our annual
booklet is correct.
Scholarship
chair
Pearl Fournier was not present but had sent Jeanne an email
report. Unfortunately,
there were no qualified applicants for the $3000 scholarship. This
will be carried over to the following year.
The head of the Horticulture Department at Cape Cod Tech
gave Pearl the names of two deserving students for toolships.
These will be presented at the awards ceremony in June.

BUSINESS
EPOCH
of Harwich is looking for help on either may 3 or May 17 to help
residents pot plants. Contact

The meeting adjourned at 1:13 PM.
There was a brief break to serve refreshments.
Jeanne then welcomed members of the Dennis Garden Club
who were co-sponsoring today’s program.
Master Judge and Floral Designer Tony Todesco created 7
designs. His
arrangements were raffled.
