Prior to the meeting a pot luck luncheon was enjoyed by members and guests.

The Horticulture Sweepstakes was judged by Patti Tworek.

President Jeanne Tassinari called the meeting to order at 1:15 PM. 77 members were in attendance.

OFFICERS Reports

President Jeanne Tassinari thanked the Tea Committee for organizing the luncheon

Secretary’s memo for the record of a vote taken at the December 7 luncheon was read and accepted for file.

Treasurer’s Report for the period ending December 31, 2010 had been distributed by email. It was accepted for file (copy attached).

COMMITTEE REPORTS – No formal reports were given.

Updates and/or reviews of activities were provided by the following committees:

Corresponding Secretary Carrie Wailgum* (covering November and December): Program chair Lynne Drummond; Membership chair Sue Hart: Chamber of Commerce liaison Diane Schoenfelder (Hank Janson thanked those who helped put up pole wreaths); Tea Committee (circulating clipboard for February tea); Scholarship co-chairs Jackie Leach and Shirley Knowles (will bring information to schools in January); and Christmas Boutique co-chair Beth Sidoli (thanked the many who helped).

*Get well wishes were sent to Eileen MacCaughern, Mary McKevitt, Mary Pickett, Jan Concannon and Caryl Stoker. Thinking of you card sent to Mavis Wiard. Sympathy card and plant sent to Mary Henry on the death of her husband, Tidal. Thank you card sent to Cathy Dillon for purchasing Mavis Wiard’s tea service and donating it to the GCH in Mavis’ honor. Ann Marie Russell sent thank you notes to those who opened their homes for our Holiday House Tour. Notice was received that Rhodda Crandall resigned.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

We were reminded not to park in the two rows in from of Bonatts.

NEW BUSINESS

Thank you letters were received from the Family Pantry and the Children’s Center for our donations.

The meeting adjourned at 1:45 PM.
